This painting was inspired by my special place down at Ford's Landing along the Chattahoochee River. This is a little southern oak tree and the water really was that color.  The light was hitting it just right to reflect the spectacular foliage at the riverbank. This painting was hard to part with.  However, it did go to a special client.  If I remember correctly, I sold this one before it was even finished.   I'm going to have to order a giclee for myself!
